Rockler's Latest Weekend Project: "Build It With Rockler" End Table
Free project plans and video tips are available now.
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has launched a new "Build It with Rockler" project – the quick and easy End Table featuring tapered legs with decorative corner beading.
Rockler's free downloadable plan, online skill-builder videos, and in-store tool demonstrations provide DIYers with the resources they need to take the project from start to finish.
The End Table project incorporates steps including cutting lumber to size with a miter or radial arm saw, gluing, clamping, and Beadlock joinery – all skills that provide a foundation for future woodworking projects. Once the table is assembled, users can customize it by choosing a paint, stain or sealer to complement their decor. The plan suggests either a chalk style paint or a Danish oil finish.

The free downloadable plan includes an exploded view of the project, a list of materials required to perform the build and step-by-step instructions punctuated by several photos to aid in the assembly process.
Skillbuilder videos showing how to install table top fasteners, how to create strong joinery with the Beadlock system and how to cut tapered legs with the Rockler Taper Jig are also available online.

All Rockler retail stores will host demonstrations throughout March that exhibit tools and techniques required to complete the End Table project. The stores also stock the required tools and materials that are listed in the free downloadable plan.
Rockler will offer complete "Build It With Rockler" solutions for additional projects in the future.
