Stetson Building Products announces acquisition
Stetson and Brock White will absorb five Gerdau Construction Products branches.
Construction Supply Group (CSG), a portfolio company of The Sterling Group, is expanding its footprint by purchasing 5 branches of Gerdau Construction Products effective April 18, 2017. The locations included in the sale are Urbana and Decatur in Illinois, Eldridge Iowa, and Madison and Appleton in Wisconsin. The transaction closed Monday, May 1, 2017.
CSG will be dividing the branches between Stetson Building Products, LLC. and Brock White Construction Supplies (under the brand name of BW Supply). Stetson will acquire these 4 Gerdau locations: Madison, Wisconsin; Decatur, Illinois; Urbana, Illinois and Eldridge, Iowa.
Brock White/BW Supply will acquire the Appleton, Wisconsin location. This transformation will strengthen Stetson's and Brock White/BW Supply's ability to serve all customers in these territories.

Stetson Building Products was founded by Roger Stetson, in 1955, as a distributor of construction products for the state of Iowa. Over the past 60 years, the company has expanded to nine locations in the Midwest. Locations in Nebraska: Omaha and Grand Island. Iowa: Des Moines, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Dubuque. Illinois: Rock Island and Rockford. Wisconsin: Madison. Maquoketa, Iowa is the distribution warehouse.
