IronPlanet wins contract to sell Hwy 99 equipment

Will sell construction equipment from Houston's Grand Parkway State Highway 99 project.

IronPlanet has been selected by the Zachry-Odebrecht Parkway Builders to help manage and sell surplus equipment related to the SH99 Grand Parkway Project in Houston, Texas, as it gets closer to completion.

The equipment surplus is to be sold as the project gets complete and includes cranes, boom lifts, crawler tractors, wheel loaders, trucks, trailers and other late model, low hour equipment.

The Texas Department of Transportation awarded the $1.1 billion project for State Highway 99 Grand Parkway Segments F1, F2 and G to Zachry-Odebrecht Parkway Builders in September 2012 and work on these segments is scheduled for completion in early 2016.

IronPlanet plans to sell the Zachry-Odebrecht equipment through a strategic and targeted combination of its high visibility Daily Marketplace, allEquip, its “buy now” marketplace, as well as IronPlanet’s online weekly Featured Auctions.

All of the equipment will be backed by IronPlanet’s IronClad Assurance guaranteed inspection reports, which assure buyers of an accurate representation of equipment condition so they can buy with confidence.
