Worldwide DIY Council Announces Exhibits for International Hardware Fair

Will use show to promote the 2012 North American DIY Store Tour.

The Worldwide DIY Council, North America's premier trade association for DIY exporters, is preparing for what it expects to be an exciting and busy time at the forthcoming International Hardware Fair.

This year The Council will not only have our Pavilion in Hall 4.2 with US and Canadian members exhibiting, but a number of its members are also exhibiting with their European distributors and on their own in other locations. In addition The Council is hosting an International Networking Reception co-sponsored with EDRA (European DIY Retail Association), NRHA (North American Retail Hardware Association) and IHA (International Federation of Hardware and Housewares Association) which has already reached capacity.

While in Cologne the WDIYC will be promoting their unique 2012 North American DIY Store Tour – a fully escorted tour of over 12 of the largest DIY stores in Vancouver, Whistler and Las Vegas which take place in May.

Says President of the WDIYC Jayne Seagrave: “We hope this tour will attract a number of international retailers and manufacturers who are not acquainted with the North American market, but who would benefit from seeing DIY operations on this continent. The fact this tour is co-sponsored with the National Hardware Show also means participants will be able to attend the premier American trade show for the industry, thereby having access to manufacturers at the show and retailers during the store tour – a winning combination.”
