Jergens Industrial Supply Acquires Cutting Tool and Industrial Supply Division of The George Whalley Co.

Deal makes JIS the largest industrial distributor within 150 miles of Cleveland.

Jergens Industrial Supply (JIS), a division of Jergens, Inc., announced that it has acquired the assets of the Cutting Tool and Industrial Supply Division of The George Whalley Company. Together, JIS and The George Whalley Company offer 100 years of combined experience and, with this acquisition, JIS becomes the largest and most technically advanced industrial distributor within 150 miles of Cleveland.

The George Whalley Company, founded in 1937, established itself as a national leader in the cutting tool industry by providing the technical support necessary to differentiate itself from supply and catalog houses, and it is in this service expertise that perfect balance with JIS starts. Jergens Industrial Supply is the only industrial distributor that shares space with a manufacturing company, an advantage of perspective, since JIS applies their 50 years of specialized technical knowledge to shorten set-up times, reduce cycle times, reduce tooling costs, increase production, and optimize speed for customer companies.
